Sociology Instructor

About the Position:

Raritan Valley Community College is seeking part-time instructors to teach Introduction to Sociology on Saturday mornings and/or through the Somerville Academy for Liberal Arts.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Introduction to Sociology on Saturday mornings and/or through the Somerville Academy for Liberal Arts.
• Provide a systematic investigation of the basic concepts and principles of sociology with emphasis on culture, social relationships, groups, institutions, social structure and the fundamental sociology theories.
• Ability to teach afternoons, evenings, and/or Saturdays as well as online.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Sociology from an accredited college or university is required; Ph.D. preferred.
• Minimum of two years' teaching experience in Psychology required; college level preferred.
