As a Senior Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Designing and implementing solutions to ensure the efficient operation of virtualized computing environments
  • Leading technical initiatives and hardware upgrade projects
  • Providing comprehensive on-site support for Unix and Windows systems
  • Acting as the main contact for troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Conducting Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery, System Monitoring, and Maintenance
  • Creating and managing user, administrator, and service accounts
  • Optimizing system performance, maintaining documentation, installing software, and managing storage resources
Required Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux operating systems
  • Proficient in diagnosing system integration challenges in mixed Linux & Windows environments
  • Experience in Unix and Windows systems administration
  • Familiarity with networking technologies
  • Willingness to work off-hours shifts as needed to support critical systems (approximately 2-3 times per year)
  • Capability to obtain Security+ CE Certification within six months
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret DoD Clearance
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with VMware, ESXi, and desktop/server virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge of DNS, Active Directory, GPO, or DHCP configuration
  • Understanding of Windows Domain Administration
  • Familiarity with RMF and NISPOM security protocols
  • Ability to configure hardware/software for servers, RAIDs, and storage solutions
  • Monitoring system performance and conducting system tuning
  • Basic troubleshooting of Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) protocols
  • Performing OS updates, antivirus management, and system maintenance
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret DoD security clearance
