Job Summary:We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse PRN to join our team at Austin Oaks Hospital, a 80-bed facility offering a broad spectrum of psychiatric services for adults. As a PRN Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients using the nursing process, assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care.
Responsibilities:- Provide nursing care for psychiatric patients using the nursing process.
- Assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care.
- Administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician.
- Ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
- Current Texas State Registered Nurse License.
- Current CPR or BLS certification.
- Aggressive Behavior Management training within 90 days of hire date.
