Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to contribute to our pipeline maintenance and repair operations. This role involves working under close supervision to assist in the upkeep, construction, and restoration of our pipeline and terminal infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in implementing safe excavation techniques in accordance with established company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Accurately locate, probe, and identify the positions of underground utilities and pipelines.
  • Act as a safety spotter during mechanical excavation processes.
  • Respond effectively to urgent situations to minimize environmental and operational impacts.
  • Serve as a fire watch during hot work operations.
  • Support welding activities by providing assistance during pipe fabrication and repairs.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment, including beveling machines, grinders, torches, hoists, and welding machines.
  • Apply protective coatings to pipeline assets prior to backfilling.
  • Assist in hydrostatic testing procedures.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Education Requirements:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

At least one year of relevant experience is essential. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required or the ability to obtain one prior to employment.

Proficiency in safely operating necessary hand and power tools for pipeline and facility maintenance is required.

Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and travel extensively (up to 80% travel) is necessary.

Willingness to respond to emergencies at any time throughout the year is expected.

Capability to follow instructions and work independently or collaboratively within a team setting.

Physical Demands:

The physical requirements for this position include:
  • Climbing heights of at least 60 feet multiple times per week.
  • Using ladders or scaffolding to reach heights of 7 to 11 feet several times per month.
  • Lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, with the ability to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance when necessary.
  • Carrying items weighing up to 25 lbs. for distances of up to 50 feet weekly.
  • Walking distances of 100 yards or more multiple times daily, with the expectation of walking up to 300 yards at a time.
  • Working on steep inclines for short durations.
  • Engaging in crouching and bending activities several times daily.
  • Standing for extended periods and sitting for up to two hours at a time.
  • Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment as required by job activities.
  • Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for job functions.
