Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrician II to join our team at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. As an Electrician II, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems within our correctional facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and electrical equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and tests to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly
  • Install and replace electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure smooth operation of facilities
  • Document and report all maintenance activities and repairs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
