Job Summary

Central Processing Corporation is seeking a skilled CDL Truck Driver to join our team. As a Girder Driver, you will be responsible for transporting girders to construction sites while ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations to transport girders to construction sites
  • Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and in-route inspections on all equipment, including securement devices
  • Properly secure loads prior to transport following DOT regulations
  • Transport products while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
  • Perform duties consistent with all safety policies, including utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Participate in loading and unloading of girders
  • Perform route surveys prior to delivery
  • Ensure cleanliness and good operating condition for assigned tractor
  • Receive work assignments and report back on job completion
  • Use consistent communication with dispatchers
  • Maintain customer relations by acting in a professional, courteous manner
Work Environment
  • Work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
  • Work near moving machinery and equipment
  • Work in a noisy environment

Requirements
  • High school education (or Equivalent)
  • Must hold a valid Class A CDL prior to hire
  • 2-4 years driving experience
  • T Endorsement for doubles and triples
