We are a rapidly growing company specializing in jewelry and lifestyle products, and our commitment to quality extends to every aspect of our business, including our dedicated jewelry repair department. We are seeking skilled Bench Jewelers to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Repair broken clasps, pins, rings, and other jewelry components using soldering or replacement techniques.
- Resize rings crafted from various metals with precision and care.
- Restore damaged or broken jewelry to its former glory by selecting appropriate gemstones, meticulous cleaning, and expert polishing, ensuring swift turnaround times.
- Reshape and restyle vintage jewelry pieces according to provided designs or instructions, utilizing hand tools and specialized machinery such as jeweler's lathes and drills.
- Transform precious metals into intricate jewelry designs using cutting and carving tools with a keen eye for detail.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and efficient work environment.
- Maintain an organized inventory of essential jewelry supplies and ensure timely ordering when necessary.
- Collaborate seamlessly with fellow team members while also demonstrating the ability to work independently.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum four years of proven experience as a Bench Jeweler, showcasing a mastery of jewelry repair techniques.
- JA Certified Bench Jeweler (CBJ) designation, demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence.
- Proficiency in gemstone and diamond setting, ensuring flawless and secure placements.
- In-depth knowledge of various gemstones and diamonds, including their characteristics, properties, and treatments.
- Comprehensive understanding of jeweler's tools, machinery, and equipment, coupled with advanced jewelry repair expertise.
- Expertise in setting/replacing all types of gemstones and diamonds using diverse settings, ensuring a polished and professional finish.
- Familiarity with various plating solutions and their applications in enhancing the beauty and durability of jewelry pieces.
- Thorough knowledge and experience working with chemical solutions commonly used in jewelry making and repair processes.
