About the Role:
The Linux Foundation is seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales Associate to join our Training and Certification department. As a Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting our corporate sales team to close sales, ensure renewals, and facilitate a smooth transition to execution after a sale is closed.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales executives and the Operations team to ensure that delivery requirements for new deals are clearly understood, including the availability of instructors.
- Facilitate the creation of booking sheets to ensure that Operations can successfully implement the customers' purchase.
- Routinely monitor expiration dates as well as product usage for subscription customers and share findings with the responsible sales executive to ensure that renewals happen, upsell opportunities are identified for heavy users, and that LF engages with customers with light usage to develop strategies to increase this.
- Manage the on-boarding of new subscription clients and provide primary support for subscription client admins.
- Assist sales executives with processing and qualifying incoming leads.
- Coordinate with the Operations team to identify eCommerce customers which could turn into Corporate opportunities and ensure clean handoff to the relevant sales executive.
- Coordinate with the LF Deal Desk to maintain forward progress once deals enter contract negotiations and pull in sales executives as needed.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of experience in a relevant position.
- Experience supporting sales executives preferred.
- Self-motivated and productive in a virtual workplace.
- Extremely well organized, attentive to detail, and process-oriented.
- Comfortable multitasking and juggling constantly changing tasks and details.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Interested in diving in to quickly learn new technology tools in a self-directed manner, as needed for the job.
- Proactive technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with a CRM preferred.
- Always keeps an eye on the overall mission and goals of the Foundation.
