Diesel Technician Job Overview

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at Dollar General Fleet. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring all trucks, trailers, and yard tractors are in working order and compliant with federal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on tractor and trailer equipment
  • Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components
  • Collaborate with drivers to address vehicle issues
  • Operate necessary equipment and tools safely

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience working on Class A trucks
  • Experience with air brakes, hydraulic & electrical systems
  • Prior welding and fabrication experience
  • DOT inspections and compliancy experience
