Your Role:

The Senior Electrical Engineer is a pivotal position within our engineering team, tasked with delivering technical expertise and ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers and designers on various projects, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Act as the Engineer of Record for assigned projects, overseeing all technical aspects.
  • Review and process equipment and system submittals, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate efforts among architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical teams.
  • Prepare comprehensive designs for power, lighting, and auxiliary systems.
  • Conduct detailed analyses, including short circuit studies and voltage drop calculations.
  • Engage in value engineering to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.
  • Participate in project meetings, collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary data.
  • Generate and maintain project specifications and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience, with at least one year of field experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.

Skills for Success:

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power distribution and energy conservation.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Autodesk and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
