Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT Specialist to support the OCONUS Piers portion of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract in Guam.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain fiber optic cables in support of the OCONUS Piers program in the Far East region.
  • Provide connect/disconnect services to vessels when arriving or departing from port.
  • Conduct testing, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of Navy Umbilical Cable Assemblies (UCAs).
  • Document daily shift activities in reporting tools and ensure proper pass down of any outstanding issues.
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the Information Technology field.
  • Compliant with DOD 8140 Intermediate level (CompTIA Security+).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in military or contractor roles supporting pier side connect/disconnect service using UCA or WPCS solutions.
  • Experience with ISP/OSP Fiber Cabling, Computer Hardware, and Troubleshooting.
  • Possess one BICSI fiber cabling certification or knowledge of troubleshooting point-to-point connections.

This role offers competitive compensation and benefits, including salary range $39,650 - $71,675.
