We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Associate for Systems and Digital Engineering to join our team at the Virginia Tech National Security Institute. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting leadership and execution of NSI Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC) and Acquisition Innovation Research Center (AIRC) projects.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have experience in model based systems engineering and related systems and digital engineering tools. They will also be responsible for engaging with Virginia Tech internal and external partners to advance NSI's contribution to digital engineering methods across the defense industry.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Psychology or a closely related field
  • US Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Demonstrated excellence in acquisition and systems engineering processes
