Job Summary

Rock Region METRO is seeking a Paratransit Operator to provide safe and efficient transportation services to individuals with disabilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating paratransit vehicles, navigating through various routes, and ensuring the well-being of our passengers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate paratransit vehicles in a courteous and efficient manner, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Provide assistance to passengers with disabilities, ensuring their safe transportation and comfort.
  • Manage time effectively, utilizing available time to complete tasks within given deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns to the maintenance department.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with Passenger endorsement, issued by the Arkansas Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Good driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment background check, DOT medical examination, and drug screen.
  • Ability to read map coordinates for pick-up locations provided by dispatch.
