Job Summary

MH Family Services is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a Therapist for High-Risk Groups, you will work with at-risk youth between the ages of 9-18 who are at risk of abuse or neglect, have been abused or neglected, have serious emotional, mental or behavioral disturbances, and are involved in the juvenile justice system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the RYSE Program and maintain a caseload of children and their families as assigned by the supervisor, in accordance with State and County regulations.
  • Provide home-based sessions with clients and families as scheduled, and complete all documentation within one week of its reporting period.
  • Conduct individual therapy sessions for clients, document therapy progress notes during sessions, and obtain resident signature as appropriate.
  • Apply the reasonable and prudent parent standard to decisions involving the participation of a child in age or developmentally-appropriate activities.
  • Prepare for group therapy sessions, including the completion of appropriate research and utilization of group materials, and facilitate group therapy sessions.
  • Support and ensure the delivery of treatment recommendations as set forth by the psychiatrist and treatment team.
  • Collaborate with all referral sources, attend group and team meetings as required, and have a concrete knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Informed Care as applied to high-risk groups.
Qualifications
  • Related Master's degree and demonstrated experience in youth direct care services required.
  • Must be 21 years of age with current Act 33, 34, and FBI Clearances.
  • Current PA state driver's license with an insurable driving record required.
  • Must possess demonstrated PC skills, including common MS Office applications.
  • PA licensure preferred.
