Job Overview

As a Hair Stylist Apprentice at Supercuts, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic salon environment. This 90-day temporary position is designed to integrate unlicensed stylists into the workplace and help them develop their skills.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $25,000 - $35,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Market and Grow the Business:
    • Promote and sell services and products to enhance customer satisfaction and image.
    • Clearly convey pricing information and coordinate promotional sales displays.
    • Responsible for sales to walk-in retail customers.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service:
    • Understand customer needs, greet professionally, and provide salon tours when necessary.
    • Estimate wait times and answer telephones promptly and professionally.
    • Handle general complaints and refer issues to management.
  • Manage and Control Expenses:
    • Follow weekly salon schedules and correctly charge for services rendered.
    • Safeguard company assets by adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Complete Required Administrative Tasks/Compliance:
    • Perform various tasks related to assisting salon operations.
    • Communicate effectively with management, customers, and co-workers.
    • Maintain safety standards and attend mandatory staff meetings.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must graduate from an accredited cosmetology school and obtain necessary licenses within 90 days.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and possess good time management skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills for professional communication.
  • Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills for company forms and documents.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Continuous standing throughout the day.
  • Continuous reaching for stock shelves and occasional pushing/pulling of styling chairs.
  • Occasional climbing of ladders/stepstools for shelving and product retrieval.
  • Ability to communicate with customers regarding services and needs.
