Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Linen Distribution Specialist to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our Environmental Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient distribution of clean linen throughout our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver clean linen to various departments within the hospital
  • Pick up soiled carts from all floors (if working on the second shift)
  • Take and fill orders from hospital staff
  • Ensure all exchange carts are delivered to the floors
  • Verify that all soiled linen has been picked up and taken to the receiving dock
  • Ensure all soiled carts are full; if not, plan for consolidation
  • Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor immediately
  • Maintain a neat and organized linen room at the end of each shift
  • Build clean, neat, and organized carts to set standard par levels
  • Clean the linen room as needed (sweep, mop, pick up)
  • Open new linen for processing
  • Align and stage carts as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull a wheeled cart of 650 pounds
  • Ability to count and record inventory of terry/linen
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
