Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Vascular Technologist to join our Radiology Department at Shady Grove Medical Center. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing clinical assessments and producing high-quality vascular sonographic images to provide accurate data for Interventional Radiologists and Radiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical assessments and produce high-quality vascular sonographic images
  • Enter preliminary findings and impressions into documentation systems
  • Perform non-invasive vascular tests, including portable studies as necessary
  • Use computer systems correctly to document patient information
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients on their assigned unit/department
  • Coordinate with other staff to ensure appropriate patient care is provided
  • Report equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor or staff member and complete associated forms or phone calls
  • Work efficiently and cope with emergency situations, maintaining schedule and prioritizing exams
  • Demonstrate cost-effectiveness in the use of supplies and equipment
Qualifications
  • High school or GED
  • Graduated from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Minimum 2 years' experience preferred
  • RVT required, RDMS preferred, CPR certification
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Work Schedule

Minimum of 1 call shift a week: 11:30pm-7am

As needed work shifts

Holidays included

Pay Range

$48.25

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
