In this position, you will be responsible for creating and implementing evaluation tools, automation frameworks, and methodologies that empower product teams throughout Apple to develop machine-learning solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Your role will involve engaging with pioneering new-product teams across Apple, leveraging your expertise and enthusiasm for innovation to tackle technical challenges for our next-generation offerings.

Key Responsibilities:
This position as a Software Development Engineer in Test will take charge of validating Siri and AIML future technologies along with customer-facing product features through the development of automation and testing methodologies.

You will be accountable for Quality Planning and Test creation, constructing automation to simulate and assess user experiences of Apple Intelligence, Siri, and other ML-driven products. Your responsibilities will encompass defining and overseeing all aspects of user impact and success metrics.

Innovative solutions and strategies that enable the team to broaden the scope of the features we ultimately deliver to our customers are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in software development and Test Automation using Java, Python, Swift, or Objective-C.
- Proficient in various design patterns.


Demonstrated Skills:

- Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities: capable of analyzing and investigating test failures, errors, and build issues, driving issues to resolution and supporting them with data.

- Extensive experience in leveraging cross-functional partnerships.
- Understanding of the ML product lifecycle.
- Familiarity with CI/CD technologies.
- Expertise in investigating, debugging, and triaging complex problems both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with on-device development and testing.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This structure allows for growth as you advance within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $175,800 and $312,200, with your base pay influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
