Bus Cleaner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Non-CDL Bus Cleaner to join our team at the Roaring Fork Transportation Authority. As a key member of our Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for cleaning, servicing, and moving RFTA transit vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean interiors of buses, including floors, walls, mirrors, ceilings, carpet, and upholstery, both by hand and with pressurized and power equipment.
• Operate and park buses and automotive equipment both inside and outside on the grounds of the RFTA Bus Maintenance Facility.
• Perform routine cleanliness inspections with Operations personnel and complete annual cleanliness inspections for FTA SGR reporting.
• Actively and continuously improve professional knowledge, skills, and abilities by participating in routine training sessions and educational seminars relevant to position and job duties.
• Document all actions taken in a professional manner in written and/or electronic format.

Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and understand English for safety and documentation purposes.
• Valid/current State Driver's License.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others and abide by department code of conduct.
• Ability to safely operate buses, light and medium duty trucks, and support vehicles.

Working Conditions:

This position involves strenuous physical activity, including handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently. You will be required to walk several miles per day, frequently climb up and down stairs, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions. You will work in close proximity to operating machinery and outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
