Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team at the US Postal Service. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex repairs and maintenance on all types of motor vehicles used in the postal fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle malfunctions using computerized test equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Conduct visual and auditory vehicle inspections to identify potential issues
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to lower-level employees
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of automotive systems and be able to troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
