Senior NSD Counselor

At Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior NSD Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and structured environment for youth in our care.

• Shift Work Planning and Supervision: Under the direction of leadership, you will be responsible for implementing the shift work plan, assigning tasks, and monitoring attendance and coverage as needed.
• Role Modeling and Training: As a lead counselor, you will serve as a role model and mentor to new staff members, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to provide high-quality care.
• Group Sessions and Counseling: You will assist with leading group sessions for youth and provide individual counseling to support their adjustment and transition to our program.
• Welfare and Well-being: You will be responsible for ensuring the welfare and well-being of youth at all times, modeling appropriate behavior standards, and maintaining visual sight of youth in the program.
• Communication and Collaboration: You will communicate effectively with youth, staff, and leadership to ensure seamless coordination and support.

• Education: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent, with an Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of experience working with at-risk youth in a detention or residential facility, with TCI, First Aid/CPR certifications required.
• Flexibility and Availability: You must be able to work a flexible schedule with variable hours, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and subject to call hours.
• Travel and Transportation: A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history is required, with the ability to coordinate and plan travel for visits and appointments.

• $21.00 per hour to $21.72 per hour.
