Speech-Language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to students within our local school district in Abingdon, Maryland.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals.
  3. Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  4. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social development.
  5. Monitor students' progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records in compliance with state regulations.
  7. Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  8. Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  1. Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  2. Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Maryland.
  3. Certification from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools (or eligibility for certification).
  4. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility to obtain.
  5. Experience working with students in educational settings is preferred but not required.
  6. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
