Job Overview: As a Legislative Clerk at MSCCN, you will play a vital role in supporting the legislative process. This temporary full-time position is perfect for individuals who are detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Electronically introduce, amend, engross, reengross, revise, rerevise, enroll, proof, and deliver House bills to the Governor
- Create and distribute resolutions and memorials
- Maintain detailed files on all bills, resolutions, and memorials
- Input daily floor action into the electronic bill-tracking system
- Proof the journal at the end of the day
Salary: $215-$230 per day, depending on qualifications
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a nonpartisan manner
- Very high attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent typing and word processing skills
- Accuracy and speed under pressure
