Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neuro Unit

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Unit team at Mercy Hospital Southeast. As a Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Neuro Unit will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. This is a full-time position working days, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
  • 1 year of RN experience, preferably in a neurology or neuroscience setting.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
