Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team at Kroger. As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our property and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Model Customer 1st behavior and deliver excellent customer service to our business community.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete records of all in-coming and out-going traffic in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the Distribution Center and monitor pedestrian traffic to prevent potential security risks.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents in and around the Distribution Center.
  • Policy Enforcement: Report and document all policy and safety violations, and take necessary actions to prevent future incidents.
  • Investigations: Collect and record preliminary information needed for theft and accident investigations.
  • Security Operations: Conduct closed circuit TV surveillance and maintain a high level of security awareness.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Background: Ability to pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work weekends and overtime, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and site-specific computer programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Military, private security, and/or retail security experience is highly desirable.
  • Operational Skills: Ability to operate forklift, tugger, and motorized cart.
