Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team in a contracted position. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of students with special requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and providing support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and support for students.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, adapting instructional strategies and materials to meet their unique needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress, using formal and informal assessment methods to inform instruction.
- Stay up-to-date with special education laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and effective support.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a strong focus on student needs.
