Shift Information:
This position offers variable day shifts with potential hours including 7a-3:30p, 7a-5:30p, and may require weekend on-call duties. The nurse will be expected to manage a variety of surgical cases, including vascular and general surgeries.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • Active Illinois RN License
  • A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • Experience in vascular and ophthalmology procedures
  • General OR experience
  • BLS certification (CNOR preferred)

Essential Skills:
Candidates should have proficiency in:
  • Electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources
  • Endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures
  • General and vascular surgery techniques
  • Ophthalmology skills, including cataract extraction and glaucoma surgery
  • Urology procedures such as cystoscopy

Work Environment:
This position is located in a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with a Level II trauma center. The facility boasts a collaborative atmosphere and supports ongoing professional development for its staff.
