Position Overview:
As a Registered Radiology Technologist, you will conduct radiology examinations and procedures for patients across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling patient examinations.
  • Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and examinations to ensure comfort and comprehension.
  • Document and report any equipment malfunctions to management.
The Ideal Candidate:
Should possess the following qualifications:
  • Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy.
  • Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic procedures (including GIs, GUs, pediatrics, and arthrograms).
  • Produce high-quality images for accurate interpretation without delay.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure timely and accurate technical data entry.
  • Notify management and take appropriate action for equipment malfunctions.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the examination process.
  • Monitor and prioritize patient flow.
  • Demonstrate proper care and operation of radiology equipment according to technical specifications.
  • Assist Radiologists with various procedures.
  • Manage image acquisition, archiving, transmission, and printing via PACS.
  • Report equipment issues to the help desk and PACS Administrator promptly.
  • Process billing through RIS.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to new hires and Radiology students.
  • Continuously seek to enhance technical knowledge and skills through ongoing education and professional development.
Education Requirements:
Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Certifications Required:
Must hold a valid Registered Technologist credential from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT) in good standing.
Current state licensure is required prior to employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

Work Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be capable of lifting or assisting with lifting patients of varying weights and handling equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:
Adhere to standard precautions using personal protective equipment as necessary.
