Job Summary

The Clinical Psychologist-ESAP provides short-term counseling and comprehensive assessments for all eligible students and their immediate family members. This role involves establishing protocols and coordinating student referral accommodations with identified neuropsychological testing providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide short-term counseling and comprehensive assessments for students and their family members
  • Establish protocols for student referral accommodations
  • Coordinate with neuropsychological testing providers
  • Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
  • Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from a regionally accredited institution
  • Completion of a predoctoral internship with an APA or California Psychological Association (CPA)-accredited program
  • Minimum two years of experience in a behavioral health care setting
Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention theory, empirical literature, and techniques
  • Able to identify need for supervision/consultation and utilize input appropriately
  • Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others
  • Able to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure
Licensures and Certifications
  • Current California Board of Psychology (BOP) license in good standing
  • Ability to obtain California license within 180 days of hire, as allowed by the State of California
