Critical Care Nurse

Thomas Health - Thomas Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the ICU team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely information exchange.
- Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Medication Management: Administer medications, including titratable and set-rate drips, as ordered by physicians.
- Equipment Management: Operate and maintain various medical equipment, including BiPap, Cpap, and Mechanical ventilation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) with a current RN license.
- Experience: Minimum of one to two years of critical care experience, preferably in an ICU setting.
- Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; PALS certification preferred.
- Skills: Ability to titrate drips, manage complex medical situations, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
