Job Summary

Generis Tek Inc is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Dover, DE. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures under the direction of the Site Manager and CT Scan Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare procedure rooms and patients for all studies
  • Properly disinfect all equipment after each patient, following cleaning policies and protocols
  • Monitor patient flow for efficient daily operations
  • Educate patients regarding ordered procedures and answer any related questions
  • Obtain patient history and written consent for exams
  • Verify patient information and check for appropriate ICD-9/10 codes
  • Utilize patient safety screening/consent forms to ensure all safety precautions have been addressed prior to procedures
  • Perform procedures in accordance with established protocols
  • Position patients and select appropriate equipment necessary to accomplish procedures depending on the age of the patient and physical capabilities
  • Monitor patients during procedures and notify Radiologists of reactions or problems
  • Assist Radiologists when necessary, making every effort to minimize patient discomfort
  • Demonstrate competency on all general diagnostic imaging equipment in CT
  • Ensure quality images for all completed procedures prior to releasing patients by reviewing films or sending images to the PACS System, depending on the type of procedure
  • Carry out duties and assume responsibility for portions of the quality assurance program, as directed by equipment vendors
  • Maintain competence with HIS, RIS, PHS, and PACS
  • Run a pending work report daily to ensure all exams have been properly charged
  • PACS and HIS errors are closely tracked and reported on PI reports following the QA policy
  • Maintain adequate supplies and be aware of supply needs and par levels, reporting all items that fall below par level to the designated person
Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Basic Life Support
  • Credential(s): DE RRT Cert, ARRT Registered Technologist
  • Experience: Required: 1 year of Radiology experience, or new grad with completion of accredited CT program
