Job Summary

Baldor Specialty Foods is seeking a skilled Food Processor to join our team in the AM shift. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for repacking and physically transforming fruits and vegetables based on pre-determined specifications and following HACCP/SQF norms and production Standard Operations Procedures (SOP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and/or cut vegetables and/or fruits, scaling them before packing in bags, trays, and/or containers.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean work areas, tables, equipment, and utensils after usage, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Maintenance and Quality Control: Inform Crew Leader and/or Prod Supervisor of any maintenance, quality assurance, and quality control issues.
  • Operational Efficiency: Use production machinery to dice, slice, length cut, and pack finish goods, setting up machinery, operating, monitoring, and cleaning as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in food processing preferred.
  • Availability: Must be open to working 5 days per week, with Sunday and Friday being mandatory shifts (6:00am-2:30PM or until production is finished).
  • Physical Demands: Able to work standing up for at least 8 hours, lift a minimum of 20 lbs, and perform tasks that require peeling, cutting with a knife repeatedly, and using fingers to snip/cut/separate.
  • Environmental Adaptability: Able to work continuously in a room at 36°F-38°F for at least 8 hours.
