Job Summary

The Anatomy Professor is responsible for teaching gross anatomy, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy to graduate and medical students. The successful candidate will have a strong desire to foster learning in an innovative curriculum and will be able to contribute to the development of the college through research and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach gross anatomy, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy to graduate and medical students
  • Prepare educational tools, such as A/V materials, demonstration models, and lectures
  • Develop and implement problem-based learning (PBL) curriculum
  • Assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands
  • Contribute to the development of the college through research and service
Requirements
  • Doctorate level of achievement (Ph.D., D.O., M.D., or Ed D)
  • 2-5 years' experience with cadaveric dissection, teaching gross anatomy, embryology, histology, and neuroanatomy to graduate and medical students
  • Strong desire to foster learning in an innovative curriculum
  • Ability to contribute to the development of the college through research and service
Preferred Qualifications
  • Progressive and innovative teaching philosophy
  • Previous experience in a small group teaching or facilitating environment
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collegially with others
