General Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated traffic control specialist to oversee the movement of vehicles around construction zones. The specialist's duties encompass guiding drivers regarding alternative routes, notifying law enforcement of traffic violations, and addressing inquiries from motorists. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe passage of emergency vehicles through work areas as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
- Utilizing hand signals and signage to manage traffic flow around construction sites.
- Coordinating with fellow flaggers via two-way radios to guide vehicles through single-lane traffic.
- Alerting the construction team to any traffic-related concerns that may pose risks to their safety.
- Properly placing warning and detour signage in the vicinity of construction activities.
- Establishing barricades and traffic cones to secure specific areas of the site.
- Removing all signage, barricades, and cones once construction is completed.
- Assisting the construction team in clearing debris and hazardous materials.
- Documenting the license plate numbers of motorists who fail to comply with traffic regulations.
- Exhibiting excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Possessing a solid understanding of state traffic laws and demonstrating exceptional observational skills.
- Holding a valid driver's license is mandatory.
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
- Using arms and hands to reach, handle, and manipulate objects.
- Frequently lifting and carrying materials weighing between 50 to 100 pounds.
- Setting up warning and detour signs, positioning traffic cones, and erecting barricades.
- Informing the construction team of any safety hazards.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as necessary, with or without corrective vision.
