About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Avionics Systems Specialist to join our team at STS Aviation Services.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, and repairing components of aircraft instrument, electrical, and electronic systems in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Perform maintenance on CRJ and A320 aircraft, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in heavy aircraft maintenance, preferably with airlines or MROs.
  • Knowledge of maintenance manuals, FARs, and FAA regulations is essential.
  • Ability to use tools, gauges, and instruments for aircraft maintenance is required.
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is necessary; an Airframe & Powerplant license is a plus.
  • Experience with CRJ and/or A320 aircraft is highly desirable.
  • Must meet qualifications for obtaining a SIDA badge.
Additional Skills:
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems efficiently is crucial.
  • Familiarity with hazardous material handling is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are required to resolve complex issues.
  • Willingness to work on a variety of aircraft systems and components is essential.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the job, including lifting up to 25 pounds and working from heights, is necessary.
