Job Title: Part-Time Instructor of Mathematics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic part-time instructor to join our Mathematics Department at Carthage College. As an adjunct professor, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of mathematics courses, including elementary statistics and general education quantitative reasoning courses.

Responsibilities:

• Teach mathematics courses to undergraduate students
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
• Provide individualized support and guidance to students
• Collaborate with department colleagues to develop curriculum and improve student outcomes

Requirements:

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and supporting a diverse student population
• Enthusiasm for addressing gaps in students' mathematical preparation and working with students of all backgrounds
