Position Overview:

The Test Engineer plays a pivotal role within a diverse team dedicated to the design, implementation, and delivery of our innovative systems and solutions. This position entails the creation and execution of test fixtures, development of test plans, and the thorough execution of test cases. Additionally, conducting root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and troubleshooting electronic products are essential components of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Engineering and Production Test Fixtures.
  • Create and implement product test plans while preparing detailed test reports.
  • Support component lifecycle management by collaborating with design engineering to identify and evaluate alternative electronic components as needed.
  • Assist the manufacturing engineering team to ensure that all documentation and training for new product releases are comprehensive.
  • Provide support to the operations team with tasks such as RMAs, RCFAs, and administrative duties.
  • Facilitate compliance and certification testing through third-party testing facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, including technical education and professional background.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to tackle tasks outside of core competencies.
  • Proficient in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and processor emulators/debuggers.
  • Familiarity with product certification processes (e.g., CE, UL, TUV).
  • Experience in testing and troubleshooting electronics at the component level.
  • Knowledge of transitioning electronics-based products from design to production.
  • Experience in developing and implementing test setups, including documentation and verification of operations.
  • Ability to interface effectively with both internal and external manufacturers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in transitioning low to medium volume industrial electronic products from engineering to production.
  • Background in industrial automation products; experience with Rockwell Automation is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation protocols such as Modbus and Profibus.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary to support projects and product development efforts.
