Position Overview

The Pipeline Engineering Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting various projects and will be tasked with managing engineering and construction documentation related to natural gas pipeline systems.

Key Responsibilities

As a Pipeline Engineering Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Preparing, reviewing, and organizing engineering, material, testing, and construction documentation for natural gas pipeline initiatives in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting independent research on electronic project files to verify documentation, perform gap analyses, identify missing information, and ensure thoroughness.
  • Managing a diverse range of records, including material test reports (MTRs), pressure testing documentation, maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) records, and nondestructive testing records (NDEs).
  • Working collaboratively with construction teams, engineers, project managers, and document control personnel to ensure precision and accuracy.
  • Taking on additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Associate's degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (experience in pipeline projects is preferred)
  • Experience in operations or construction fields
  • Familiarity with pipeline and facility construction and related documentation
  • Understanding of pipeline construction processes and material/project records
  • Knowledge of DOT 49CFR192, ASME B31.8, and ASME B31.3 standards
  • Able to work independently or remotely with documentation while maintaining excellent communication
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Detail-oriented approach
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
