Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Kindred Hospital - Louisville. As a Traveling Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy to compound and dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies
  • Participate in Performance Improvement plans to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Consult with Administration, Medical Staff, and hospital staff on quality, regulatory, and risk issues
  • Support and advise on quality, regulatory, and risk issues
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing pharmacy activities
  • Interpret medication orders, compound, and dispense medications in accordance with legal, ethical, and professional standards
  • Supervise technical support staff
  • Assist with clinical, quality management, and education programs
  • Provide support for all departments in patient care
  • Participate in the maintenance and dissemination of drug information
  • Assist other Pharmacists and Technicians in routine duties
  • Direct activities of and provide professional and technical guidance to Pharmacy personnel
  • Exercise professional judgment in imparting therapeutic and drug information
Requirements
  • Must have KY BOP license and CPh certification
  • Must have BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Schedule
  • Varying shifts through the week, 8a-8p
  • Every 3rd weekend once out of orientation
