eTeam Inc is currently seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Medical Surgical for an exciting travel nursing opportunity.

- Shift Length: 12 hours

Unit Information
• Unit Type: ICU Medical/Surgical/Neuro
• Bed Capacity: 26 beds
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS; 2 years of experience preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome with an understanding of the unit's demands.
• Patient Ratios: 1:2, could be 1:3 for transfers; 1:1 for hypothermia patients.
• Charge Nurse: Available 24/7 without patient assignments; support from an ANCC Assistant Nurse Care Coordinator.
• Support Staff: 3 nurse stations with PCTs, subject to change during assignments.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
Technical Support
• Telemetry: Central monitoring with Neon Coding monitors; no dedicated Tele tech.
• Drips: Experience with vasopressors and sedation (Propofol) is required.
• Ventilator Management: Yes, with support available.
• On-Site Medical Staff: Hospitalist or Intensivist present at all times, along with residents.
Additional Information
• IV Team: PICC team available.
• Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7.
• Pharmacy: Clinical pharmacists on day shifts; not available at night.
• Shift Scheduling: 12-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8:30 PM; block scheduling available with schedules released 2-3 weeks in advance.
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation based on nurse's comfort level, typically 1-2 days.
Patient Demographics
• Common Diagnoses: Critical patients including ortho, many on ventilators, neuro conditions, EVD, delirium assessments, laminectomy, sepsis, DKA. Note: Candidates without neuro experience may not be assigned these patients.
