Our Commitment to Safety

This position operates on a day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with rotating days and every other weekend off.

Key Responsibilities:

· Set up, prepare, and oversee machinery and equipment for production in line with operational needs. This includes handling various machines such as sifters, elevators, packaging devices, and blending systems.

· Collaborate with the Packaging Team to ready products for customer delivery, which may involve packaging preparation, filling containers, labeling, stacking, and banding finished goods.

· Operate filling machinery to package products into 50-lb bags, 2000 lb sacks, 2000 lb boxes, or 5-gallon pails as per production requirements.

· Utilize a sit-down forklift to move materials to the packaging area and the warehouse.

· Receive packaging supplies from the warehouse, ensuring quality control by accepting or rejecting materials based on established standards.

· Play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and actively participate in the facility's ISO 9001 Quality Program.

· Work within the Packaging department to achieve plant objectives related to Safety, Environment, Quality, and Production.

· Maintain accurate Quality Control logs and effectively communicate pertinent information to team members and supervisors.

· Understand that safe work practices are a condition of employment and engage in identifying workplace hazards and updating operational procedures.

· Assist the Team Leader and fellow Packaging Team members with routine maintenance tasks.
