Senior Credit Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Analyst to join our Commercial Lending Team at Consumers Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring our commercial portfolio, providing credit recommendations, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and monitor a portfolio of commercial real estate loan relationships, including underwriting and annual loan reviews.
- Evaluate financial information, business risks, and provide credit recommendations to support loan decisions.
- Prepare credit presentations, track financial statements, and submit credits for underwriting.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial data and write narratives outlining key information.
- Monitor commercial loan files, ensure completion of annual reviews, and meet financial reporting requirements.
- Review income approach in appraisals and collaborate with appraisers as needed.
- Work with members and third parties to gain insights into financial practices and trends.
- Collect past due loans and actively work with members experiencing financial difficulties.
- Provide member support on loan or depository-related questions or concerns.
- Act as a subject matter expert for special projects and underwriting system administration.
- Train new employees on underwriting system and organizational systems.
- Perform quality assurance checks and provide feedback to ensure procedures and policies are followed.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Commercial Credit Analyst/Commercial Underwriting in a Credit Union or Bank.
- Relevant Bachelor's Degree (such as Accounting or Finance) preferred but not required.
- Formal credit training with an emphasis on fundamental best practices and various cash flow types.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
- Self-directed and independent worker.
- Advanced proficiency with financial analysis tools and experience with nCino loan origination system is highly preferred.
