Job Summary:The Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Oncology Clinic, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular shift huddles to communicate strategic priorities and ensure that staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and address any barriers to care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible outcomes.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance patient care and staff engagement.
- Participate in emergency preparedness drills and training sessions to ensure that the team is prepared to respond to any situation.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an oncology setting.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
- Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 12 months of hire.
