Job Title: Aerial Lineman Foreman

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Aerial Lineman Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our outside plant construction team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable, ensuring safe work site setup and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
• Safely operate equipment and vehicles
• Responsible for safe work site setup and maintaining a safe work environment
• Understanding of separation and clearance regulations
• Ability to safely work aloft
• Flexibility to work in multiple locations and travel as required

Requirements:

• Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
• A valid, unrestricted driver's license (Commercial driver's license preferred but not required)
• Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
• Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet

Preferred Qualifications:

• Splicing of active & passive equipment would be a plus

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Climb into and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
• Must be able to lift/carry 80 lbs. regularly as needed with or without assistance
• The employee will be sitting, bending, using hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding, or stooping while on shift
