Job Description

The JumpBunch Coach is a vital component of our organization's success. As the most visible aspect of the program, the Coach represents the brand's image in the eyes of our customers. Below are the duties assigned to the JumpBunch Coach and the requirements necessary to perform these duties successfully. We seek high-energy individuals who genuinely enjoy working with children.

Job Summary:

JumpBunch is seeking energetic, outgoing individuals with fun personalities to teach Sports and Fitness classes to children aged 18 months to 12 years in local schools and childcare centers in Anne Arundel County. JumpBunch is a fun, structured mobile program that introduces kids to a wide range of sports and fitness through over 70 lesson plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares for all classes by reviewing approved lesson plans (provided by JumpBunch)
  • Arrives for and begins all classes on time
  • Properly instructs children in the use of our approved curriculum and equipment
  • Provides own transportation with adequate auto insurance coverage (public transportation is not suitable for this role)
  • Teaches live virtual JumpBunch classes via Zoom Meetings when in-person classes are not feasible

Primary Job Requirements:

  • Must pass a background check and/or FBI fingerprinting as required by state
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to bend, kneel, stoop, jump, jog, and otherwise move actively to execute a class. Must be able to occasionally carry large amounts of equipment
  • Should be enthusiastic and pleasant in conversation and be patient and have a desire to work with children
  • Must be prompt, reliable, and able to work independently with no direct supervision
  • Must have reliable transportation to drive to different schools in Anne Arundel County for classes

Additional Duties & Requirements:

  • Positively communicates with school directors and teachers regarding all aspects of the JumpBunch classes
  • Monitors attendance of all registered children and ensures they are present
  • Collects payment for classes (not in all cases)
  • Wears approved uniform and presents a professional image
  • Adheres to all JumpBunch policies as outlined in the Operations Manual
  • Properly completes all requested paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
  • Provides advance notice or coverage for any foreseen absences
  • Brings all necessary equipment to execute weekly classes
  • Successfully functions as a member of a team
  • Must be neat and well-groomed
  • Should be enthusiastic and pleasant in conversation
  • Must be able to communicate with young children and facility directors
  • Should be able to follow very specific direction and routine
  • Takes initiative to solve problems
