Vivarium Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Vivarium Technician to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our laboratory animal care team, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our research animals.

• Conduct clinical observations and monitor food consumptions to ensure the health and well-being of research animals.
• Record body weights, collect urine, and administer anesthesia as needed.
• Manage mating procedures, perform blood draws, administer doses, and restrain animals for various procedures.
• Conduct euthanasia and place catheters as required.
• Feed and remove food from laboratory animals, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment.
• Administer test and control articles or other substances to animals by various routes of administration.
• Observe and record all physical signs of animal health, assisting with clinical observation, necropsies, and other technical procedures.

• Tumor measurement experience.
• Strong animal handling and care skills.
• Knowledge of animal models and research protocols.

This is a fully on-site position in Beltsville, Maryland, with a state-of-the-art GMP manufacturing facility supporting our biologics pipeline and candidates advancing into clinical development.
