We are seeking a motivated and dynamic automation technical consultant to fill a hands-on technical position focused on Honeywell Experion networking, configuration, and development, particularly within the Pulp and Paper sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating estimate-level designs and material take-offs appropriate for the project's estimation phase.
- Generating detailed design calculations and sketches for project-related equipment, ensuring they are well-organized for efficient review and use by drafters/designers.
- Producing preliminary designs and equipment lists suitable for project estimations.
- Configuring and developing Honeywell Experion system applications according to project specifications.
- Developing Honeywell Experion programming to enable plant operations to manage process manufacturing equipment effectively.
- Collaborating within a team of engineers and specialists from Hargrove and our clients.
- Leading multiple controls and automation project teams concurrently, focusing on execution, quality, budget, and timelines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in planning and executing tasks safely with a strong commitment to professional integrity.

- Dedication to delivering high-quality work products with innovative solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in developing technical reports and documents with meticulous attention to detail.

- Proficient in computer programming and debugging, particularly with Function Block Diagrams (FBD) and Sequential Control Modules (SCM).
- Extensive knowledge of Honeywell Experion networking, system architecture, design, and configuration.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Honeywell Experion platform, including both virtualized and physical environments.
- Capability to build, install, and configure Honeywell Experion control systems, including servers and various stations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Significant experience may substitute for degree).
- Over 10 years of experience in developing and implementing Honeywell Experion systems, including networking, HMIWeb graphics, control modules, and various interfaces.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% to various industrial locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in developing and implementing Honeywell Experion systems.
- Knowledge of Pulp and Paper processes, including recovery boilers, evaporators, lime kilns, and paper machines.
