Position Overview

Role Summary: As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Registered Nurse will deliver comprehensive nursing care within our orthopedic facility. This role requires a strong foundation in nursing practices, particularly in pre-operative and post-operative settings.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting, with a focus on surgical care.
  • Possession of an ADN or BSN degree.
  • Proficient understanding of both acute and chronic care protocols, including medication administration and patient care in accordance with treatment plans.
  • Ability to assess patients with chronic conditions and a solid grasp of disease processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver general nursing care to patients, administering medications as per established protocols and physician directives.
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
  • Monitor, document, and report any changes in patients' medical conditions, promptly informing physicians and taking appropriate actions.
  • Provide immediate attention to patients exhibiting changes in their medical status.
  • Maintain and review patient records, ensuring pre-operative communications are conducted with patients to confirm they meet all procedural protocols.
  • Respond to patient inquiries related to treatment and provide guidance on medication and care instructions.
  • Monitor patients' responses to medications and treatments, providing updates to physicians as necessary.
  • Exhibit expertise in post-procedure recovery and demonstrate professionalism in emergency situations.
  • Uphold the privacy and confidentiality of patient information while maintaining the integrity of organizational data.
