Location: Various locations across the United States, Puerto Rico, and other US territories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver vocational rehabilitation support to individuals with disabilities under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act (FECA) to promote employment and/or reemployment opportunities.
  • Assist with services unrelated to employment, including modifications to homes and vehicles.
  • Engage with injured workers (IWs), healthcare providers, personnel from federal agencies, vocational testing centers, community rehabilitation organizations, and private sector employers.
  • Conduct vocational counseling and guidance, perform vocational assessments, job analyses, transferable skills evaluations, placement services, vocational exploration, labor market research, wage-earning capacity analysis, and development of rehabilitation plans.
  • Facilitate and/or execute ergonomic assessments, job modifications, vehicle adaptations, and home alterations.
  • Provide life care planning services for cases involving catastrophic injuries.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and accurate reporting of all vocational rehabilitation services rendered.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a specialized certification in one of the following areas:
    • Certification from the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC)
    • Occupational Health (COHN)
    • Case Management (CCM)
    • Insurance Rehabilitation (CIRS/CRRN)
    • Disability Management (CDMS)
    • Nurse Case Manager Board Certified (ANCC/ANA)
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in vocational rehabilitation counseling/placement.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of case management experience within the workers' compensation sector.
  • Capability to provide services both via telephone and in person.
  • Willingness to travel for site assessments as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent experience with the FECA vocational rehabilitation program and/or providing vocational rehabilitation services in a workers' compensation context.
  • Possession of a valid unrestricted Rehabilitation Counselor/Professional Counselor/General Counselor license (where applicable).
  • Vocational Evaluation (CVE/PVE) certification.
  • Work Adjustment (CWA) certification.
  • Career Assessment Associate (CCAA) certification.
