Job Overview

Position: Manufacturing Technician II (2nd Shift)

Location: Billerica, MA

Shift: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday

Compensation: $30/hr

Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

Role Summary

We are looking for a committed Manufacturing Technician II to contribute to our operations in Billerica, MA. This position entails the operation and upkeep of critical machinery utilized in the production of pharmaceutical goods. You will be part of a proactive team dedicated to ensuring that manufacturing activities adhere to cGMP, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the guidance of the manufacturing manager and team lead, demonstrating the ability to accept direction and feedback.
  • Adapt work priorities in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
  • Independently resolve standard manufacturing challenges or collaborate with technical resources.
  • Effectively communicate across various departments and manage high-pressure situations.
  • Utilize knowledge of cGMP Regulations (Parts 210 and 211) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Operate automated production equipment and relevant software.
  • Assist in capital project planning, microbiology coordination, and disinfection sampling.
Qualifications
  • Education:
  • Associate's Degree in a science-related discipline with 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.
  • High school diploma with 3-5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing or quality environment.
  • Experience & Skills:
  • Experience in a clean-room setting and familiarity with cGMP is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing machinery, troubleshooting, and process enhancement.
  • Practical knowledge of computer systems, aseptic techniques, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Ability to operate within cGMP guidelines and engage in cross-training within the organization.
Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to work off-shift schedules, including holidays, weekends, and mandatory overtime as necessary.
  • Active involvement in promoting company values such as Accountability, Quality, Efficiency, Customer Service, Collaboration, and Safety.
Compensation

Salary: $29 - $30 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Conduct material transfer, preparation, batching, filling, inspection, and related operations.
  • Operate automated manufacturing systems while maintaining proper aseptic techniques.
  • Complete production transactions within the ERP system and ensure the accuracy of documentation.
  • Coordinate material procurement and manage inventory movements within the ERP system.
  • Support various functions such as equipment maintenance, engineering studies, and validation processes.
  • Engage in safety and environmental hazard corrections, actively promoting safety protocols.
